Basically .. I purchased 4 Kinectless Xbox One's from Game and they where all defective ... I might pay £400 for a Kinect version but I don't know whether it's the right move. Have any of you guys who purchased a Kinectless Xbox One ran into any problems? Loud noises? Fan problems? Anything?
Seems like the worst luck in the world to purchase x4 Xbox One consoles and them all be faulty. What were the faults or error codes exactly? Why would not having a Kinect make a difference to the reliability?
There powerbricks looked different. I purchased a new one today and the fan noise isn't too bad, I can still hear it a little, bit it ain't bad I guess. Can you hear yours?
I got my xbox one as a console only, and bought a non-microsoft power brick, it had some grinding problems and the fan was ridiculously loud, but I decided to buy a one from microsoft (I got it from their repair centre,I can get a link if you need it) and it's had no problems, it is completely silent too. But I've had no problems with the console itself, although I ended up buying a kinect from ebay, and it was definitely worth it.
My console made a big noise. So I got it replaced it and go a new one. The second one made a little noise but it's just the console running for the first time. Give a few days for it to run normally. Peoples consoles are not all the same. It can also be the area it's placed. The noise can spread in like shelves etc. Mines on a desk and I can only hear it when the console starts up. In your Kinect question. It's best to have it. A lot of the new games coming out will be kinect friendly and IMO, you'd have a better experience with this feature. And it's not like the 360. It has much better facial censoring etc.
I'll give the Xbox One 2 more days. I can still hear a noise coming from it when I'm even sitting away =/ I may consider getting a PS4.
I bought mine back in February. Everyone once in a while I will leave it on for 7-10 days straight just to see what it will do. Never had a problem with it. And it's quiet as can be. I think your just having some bad luck with the XOne LOL.
For real? Actually, my very first Xbox One did. Now any one I purchase now I can't get it to be 100% silent =/
I still have the store 28 Day Warranty so I'd rather get my £400 back over waiting 20 ish days for a maybe working console.
This is my 5th one =/ 4 from one shop, the 5th from another. My very first one didn't have this issue, I'm a little disappointed tbh. I may move to either PC or PS4 even though most of my friends are on Xbox.
NL96, Is your room always ventilated. I have a massive window above my XBOX. And believe it or not, Australia is very cold at nights. So it helps a lot. But IMO if it's in a good area, has good ventilation and its clean because dust generally gets in there and heats it up and can affect your XBOX's performance. But if that's all okay, you should be fine. Not all XBOX's are different so just give it time.
I may just stick with the good ol' 360 ! I mean, cheap games and I could always purchase another Xbox One next year.
Just get the Xbox live with the slight noise it maybe normal all my friends Xbox ones make a noise of some description if it gets worse or affects performance then send it to Ms for replacements this is free of charge and they pay for the pick up of the console
Same as my xbone the only time i can hear it is when i go to bed and everything is turned off other then that it is realy silent.
Here's a tip kepet away from pet hair and dust clean it off once a week and clean the controller to and don't not eat then put gerse fingers back on the controller or the buttons well get sticky and harder to push down the road and place the XBONE in a good vitalated spot to get good air flow and sorry for the bad spelling and hope this helped you out. I've only bout one xbox 360 the hole time its been out and one ps3 and XBONE and the xb360 is a case mod and it still works till today and I had the PS3 and XB 360 FOR 6 years and they still work THIS IS to long I think so mabey not were all here to help each other out. Good Luck.
